In 1996, the Spice Girls came out with their "Wannabe" music video and a couple of days ago it got a 2016 feminist makeover. The modern version of the video touches on the everyday challenges that women are faced with everyday. Being paid less than a man, equal education rights, and child marriage. They urge you to use the hashtag #WhatIReallyReallyWant to talk about what you really, really want to change within the law. I love the video and am all for the equal rights and such but I am so tired of hearing about this wherever I turn. Until someone with some ACTUAL power wants to step up and make a change we are all wasting our time protesting and making up hashtags for stuff we have no control over. Just my opinion, I honestly don't care about yours.
