Superbowl XLIX
As the 2014-2015-football season comes to an end the New England Patriots added another super bowl title to their franchise. After much controversy about NE deflating their balls in their last game against the Colts this game was full of anticipation to see how NE would play with all of the rumors about them going around. The night of Sunday February 1st families and friends around the world were on the edge of their seats as the Patriots and the Seahawks went at it with only one goal in mind: to be the 2015 super bowl champions. The night was kicked off with a stunning performance of the national anthem by Idina Menzel. The first half was a whirlwind of emotions for the NE and Seahawk fans. Halftime came with an amazing performance by Katy Perry, she was no Beyoncé, but she still put on a great show. Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot also performed aside Katy and put on a show stopping performance. The second quarter started off much like the first, but the last play of game surprised families around the world. The Seahawks have one of the best running backs on their team, Marshawn Lynch and instead letting him run the ball in Russel Wilson threw to another player only for it to be intercepted by a player on the New England Patriots. The final score was 28-24 Patriots. So until next season The New England Patriots are the champions of Super bowl XLIX.
