2015 Star Studded Grammys
The 2015 Grammy's was an unforgettable night of music, fashion, and fun. AC/DC opened up the show with a legendary performance of their hit song Highway to Hell. During the song, stars such as Katy Perry, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga rocked light up devil ears to join the fun. Ariana Grande performed "Just a Little Bit of Your Heart" one of her newer songs off of her new album. Ariana looked stunning in a white Versace dress with her signature high ponytail, her brother, Frankie Grande, and boyfriend, Big Sean, were there to support Grande throughout the show. Miranda Lambert took home best country album and gave a crowd-pleasing performance of "Little Red Wagon". Pharell gave a super awkward acceptance speech after receiving a Grammy for best pop solo performance for his hit song "Happy". Surprisingly he wasn't wearing his signature hat this year, instead he went for a very casual look of shorts and a button down. Even though it’s his style it seemed a bit dressed down for the grand event at which he was attending. Madonna gave an epic performance of "Living for Love" which had amazing choreography and costumes. In my opinion, the best part of the Grammy's was when Ed Sheeran and John Mayer sang "Thinking Out Loud", definitely one of the most legendary Grammy duos in history. Then when Ed came back out for an encore with Jeff Lynne who together performed an amazing rendition of "Mr. Blue Sky". Sam Smith took home a total of 4 Grammy's last night for record of the year, song of the year, best new artist, and best pop vocal album. He thanked his Ex-Boyfriend for breaking his heart since it was the reason he wrote certain songs on the album, kinda reminds you of Adele. Personally I don't believe Sam earned all of the awards he won. Ed Sheeran and Iggy Azalea had bigger hits and a better overall year in my opinion, but a win is a win so congrats to Sam Smith. Beyoncé took home 3 well deserved Grammys for best R&B performance, best R&B song, and best surround sound album. However to Kanye West 3 Grammys weren't enough for Queen B. When Beck won his Grammy for Album of the Year Kanye went up on the stage as if he was going to pull a 2009 VMA but said, "just kidding" and sat back down. Later he did say: “Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration…” Leave it to Kanye to make drama anywhere. Beyoncé gave a stunning performance that wasn't nearly as raunchy as her previous award show performances. As expected the Grammys were absolutely amazing and I couldn't have asked for more.
