Lana Del Rey’s New Album Will Take You On A ‘Honeymoon’
So I finally got Lana Del Rey's new album Honeymoon and it's been on repeat for the past week. So here's a review on the one-of-a-kind album that has been topping the charts.
The album consists of 14 songs that give me a feel of her last album "Ultraviolence". The first two songs are "Honeymoon" and "Music To Watch Boys To". "Honeymoon" is actually my least favorite out of the entire album. I don't hate it but out of all of them that one definitely is ranked fast. It is too repetitive and the song beat goes in and out which really bothers me. Track 2, "Music To Watch Boys To" is so cute to me. I mean now I have a song to listen to while I watch boys... thanks Lana for looking out for your girl. "Terrence Loves You" is surprisingly the fan favorite but is ranked pretty low on my scale, probably because whenever I listen to it I begin to fall asleep.
Track 4, "God Knows I Tried" is so good to me. It's like a church song mixed with a little Lana which harmonizes to make a perfect match. "High By The Beach" is soo good. First off I love the video and second the entire song is like a "forget you" song to the paparazzi. "Freak" is currently in my top five. I love Lana's voice in this one and the beat just makes me want to dance. The best part of "Freak" is definitely the end when it transfers to "Art Deco" and the opening to Art Deco will GIVE YOU CHILLS (100% money-back guarantee). If you like "Young and Beautiful" you will LOVE track 7.
Track 8 is an interlude called "Burnt Norton" I'll just let you experience that amazing one minute and 22-second life changer. "Religion" is very good. For some reason, it reminds of "Ride" or something like that. Definitely in my top 5. Now, prepare yourself for track 10 AKA the best song on the entire album, "Salvatore". I don't know if its how Lana rolls her r's or because the song is named after my favorite characters in The Vampire Diaries, but that song is absolutely amazing.
"The Blackest Day" is very good. It takes me back to "Black Beauty". Track 12 "24" is so so so good. The whole message being conveyed throughout the song is executed perfectly. Track 13 "Swan Song" is literally what is it titled. Absolutely gorgeous melody. Last but certainly NOT LEAST is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" is most likely tied for first. This song gives me chills every time I hear it, Lana's voice is hypnotizing.
So President Kennedy McKinney's top three songs off of "Honeymoon" are:
1. Salvatore
2. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
3. High By The Beach
I give Lana's album an A-. Thanks Lana for yet another amazing album. Be sure to check it out and comment, tweet, or email me what you think.
PS. If you call the number on the album cover, Lana just might answer 😉
