Nina Dobrev Leaves The Vampire Diaries
I’ve been watching The Vampire Diaries since it first aired in 2009. Through Stelena, Katherine Peirce, Doppelgangers, and my all time favorite Delena, Nina Dobrev was the highlight of the show. Julie Plec, the producer, put a cease to all the rumors and confirmed that Nina would be leaving the show. Through Instagram Dobrev expressed how she never saw Elena’s story going any longer than six seasons. She said that after season six she will no longer be on the show and thanked all the fans for their support throughout the years. A few days later Ian Somerhalder posted a picture of his infamous character Damon Salvatore on Instagram captioned: “#tbt 2009- this guy. The start of it all… Thank you world for making this journey and this dude live Love, Ian&Damon S”. So what does this mean for the CW’s hit show? The show is still scheduled to continue. Personally I don’t think the show should continue without Dobrev. The entire plot of the show has to do with her character Elena Gilbert and without it I don’t think the show can continue to be as successful as it is. So I hate to see my favorite show leave but all great things must come to an end.
