Michael Phelps won his final race last night and is bidding his farewell to the Olympic Arena. Phelps was only 15 when he began racing in the Olympics and his journey has been nothing but amazing and inspiring since then.
He walks away with 23 gold medals, the most medals anyone, and even some countries, has ever won.
Last night twitter was flooding with heartfelt tweets and memories about Michael Phelps and stories about how many people he has influenced throughout the world.
tomorrow is @MichaelPhelps last race at the Olympics, in rio, and in his career and I won't be home to see it...I am extremely heartbroken.

Someone said: "Swimming is richer because of him, and will be poorer without him". I can't think of a better quote that sums up his journey throughout the Olympics.
