This year I had the amazing opportunity to attend World Pride which took place in NYC this year. I go to New York about twice a year to visit family and I have done all of the tourist/bucket list things three times over. However, this time I got to something new: attend a pride parade. Of course it happened to be World Pride which takes place in a different country every year and is bigger than just NYC Pride. There were over 200 floats, organizations, and countries represented making this one of the biggest parades to ever take place in the city.
Before the parade one of the police officers who was in charge of our section of the parade route told us that the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of the most popular and iconic events in the world, has 30-40 floats and organizations so the fact that world pride had over 200 really puts how large this parade is in perspective. Also, this parade was super long it started at noon and ended at 9:30 PM.
Since I knew world pride would be an insane and fun filled event I decided to vlog the experience. Watch the video below to see the parade through my eyes! Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe to my channel!!
